Vertigo Launch
May 29th sees the launch of the Black Cherry Cocktail Collection at the vertiginous seventh floor of the VERTIGO club at no.1 Leicester Square London WC2.
With its superb views over London it promises to be an exciting venue. Also previewing is the Cherry Soda Cruise Collection that features Fanniann’s own unique copyrighted fabric (at present only available on the website as a limited edition).

Harrods
The ‘Fanniannis’ (Jane, Michelle, and Sally) had an interesting evening at Harrods in April at the Tony Curtis Art Exhibition.

Rubbing shoulders with Mr Fayed himself and Tony Curtis who, despite being temporarily in a wheelchair still had that same twinkle in his eye that we remember from his early heartthrob days. He has a very successful career now as a painter in a charming style using colours that conjure up the nostalgia of the 1950’s. By his side was his wife, the statuesque and charming Gill Curtis. With her shock of short white-blonde hair reminiscent of Brigitte Stallone, she was very striking. She loved the Fanniann style and is interested in a fitting when she returns to stay at Blakes hotel in London this October. |

The Puffball Is Back - A Daring Move By New Label Fanniann
The 2008 Bafta award event saw Sally Farmiloe, Face and Spokesperson for the Fanniann label wearing a silk taffeta puffball dress in a glorious peacock colour.
Neither the colour nor style was for the shy and retiring, but Sally would be the first to admit she is neither of those, and she certainly shone out from the ubiquitous black that is the ‘norm’ at such functions.
It was a daring move for new womenswear label fanni ann whose previous collections have been very nostalgic and softly tailored, with an aura of feminine elegance reminiscent of the 40’s and 50’s.
The departure from their usual signature tailoring was a nod to the 80’s, an era that is creeping back into favour…the pendulum always swings back!
Look at shoulder pads ‘Dynasty’ was pure 1940’s, and the ‘Puffball’ was first seen in the 50’s.
In contrast the cherry cocktail collection for 2008 to 2009 is a very grown up selection of silk jerseys and wools in black, pewter and ruby red. Commissions are also undertaken for traffic stopping red carpet attention!
